Train up a child...

Parenting is a huge job.  You have the gift of raising boys and girls to be men and women of God.  At FSF, we realize that this job can be overwhelming at times.  Sometimes parents feel illequipped to complete this task.  Maybe you feel this way.  Maybe you feel inadequate to answer the questions your children may ask you.  Maybe you're not sure what to talk about.  Maybe you aren't sure your children want to talk about these things. 

Don't lose heart, dear friend!  Children are ready to learn about God, no matter the age.  No one has all of the answers; it's perfectly fine to tell your child that you have to find the answer.  Children don't expect experts, they requre relationships...relationship with you and relationship with God. 

We hope to use this blog as a way to help you train your children in the things of God.  We will post weekly summaries of the message from Sunday, along with some questions to get your discussion going at home.  Don't make this harder than it needs to be.  Use time that you already have together such as: riding in the car, sitting around the table, waiting on the bus...  These "family moments" are prime opportunity to train them.  Also, you may leave comments or questions about your journy as a family.
